You go to China and you live there and you criticize the government and ask me how that goes for you.
In the US, see how far you can go if you're making racist speech publicly, or even just praise Hamas and criticize Israel.
Why? Because racism matters in the US while it is not a major issue in China. Politics is in reverse situation.
Look, what do you get for criticizing government in the States? You end up with talk show host, political fanatics, and psychopathy running the country. That's the eventual outcome.
In the Sates, there have been massive riots, usually race related like the George Fergerson protest, once several years and the US government sent in National Guard to crush them and opened fire to kill some on the first few days. In contrast, riots had been going for over half year in 2019 Hong Kong and the police didn't kill a single person. If "free speech" is allowed, then there will be massive riots in short time and if the government crush the riots, it will invite heavy trade sanctions from the US since the US wants to weaponize it and cause massive unemployment.
Or try to unionize.
China has the largest trade union in the world. And also company doing wage theft in China will get the company owner in jail.
Which is hilarious because they pretend to be communist. Never mind the fact that they have an American style Private healthcare system.
1. China is socialist currently. "Communism" serves the same role as emperor/king in UK/Japan. Nobody actually cares.
2. China has a dominant public-run healthcare system with universal coverage (still ramping up); it is supplemented by private practices. You can choose which hospital you go to,
