I don't wanna argue about whether someone who has a strong male-associated characteristics can force people to consider them women. What I am saying is that scientifically, logically, the "man" and "woman" category cannot encompass all human phenotypes. There isn't even a practically usable definition of either. Please give me the algorithm to ascertain whether a human is male or female. I guarantee I can find a situation by which it fails most other people's definition. For example, if you said a person with a Y chromosome is male. Then I will find situations where someone without the Y chromosome has a penis, and a situation where a person with XY chromosomes got pregnant naturally and had kids.

This isn't about who should be allowed in what bathroom. Science doesn't care about who needs what space.

"What if a human gives you bad directions?" You fucking punch him in the face and move on. Just do the same with AI. Dumbass. Humans do all the mistakes that AI does. Comment Re:This is a halting-problem variant, isn't it? (Score 1) 80

No. It's absolutely not the halting problem .. the halting problem involves gates and looping possibilities. The toxicity problem is much easier, the human body solves it every day. Your immune system produces random protein sequences and anything highly toxic is prevented from being produced because the body has an autoimmune regulator system whereby each one of those random protein sequences is tested for binding ability to every protein that your body produces. If a protein is determine toxic, it is blocked from advancing into wild/production. No reason we can't do the same.

Really? So if I say there 100% of the people born in the year 1700 are dead, there's an alive outlier somewhere? Maybe don't go claiming there are only two genders the same as don't go claiming there are only two elements in the universe. Especially when you use it to create policy and laws. I understand the need to protect things like women's sports and locker rooms, but use a biological phenotype standard rather than "women"/"men" especially if you refuse to acknowledge that those characteristics feature as a spectrum. For women's sports for example, you can define a standard that specifies a maximum testosterone a person's body developed under. For locker rooms, you can specify that the person cannot have testicular tissue more than a certain amount and a penis. We have the tech to ascertain these info.

The gender assigned at birth standards is prone to error. Some people are born with testicles that descend a few months or even years later. Others have "streak gonads" (look it up). Some may have both ovarian and testicular tissue ("ovotesticular" .. look it up) in fact having to determine one of two genders is difficult for certain cases. Gender characteristics are under the control of many genes .. each of which is subject to mutation. There is a "master switch" (aka transcription factor) gene called SRY .. that is also subject to mutation. The reason most people think there's only two genders (until they actually bother to study the biology of development like I did) is the SRY gene is rarely mutated enough have wonky effects.

Comment They are failing because Toyota sucks at tech (Score 1) 131

The main reason Toyota is failing is that their EVs don't look like the future, and don't sell the dream of autonomous vehicles. If consumers don't think of Toyota as advanced or visionary, why would they buy their EVs from them?

Would you buy a CPU from McDonalds, no matter how great it is? When you think of McDonald's, the only thing you believe they're good at is fries, ice cream, and milkshakes. And Oreo McFlurries. Not CPUs. You don't think of McDonald's as someone smart enough to make a CPU. It's the same with Toyota.

EVs are a great evolution, but autonomous vehicles are revolutionary. If they want people to buy their EV's they should showcase their vehicles doing cool autonomous stuff. Autonomous vehicles will cause the biggest changes to how people live. The Chinese and Tesla seem to be the only car manufacturers who understand that. It's true that Tesla is half-assing their FSD tech .. but at least they understand the importance of selling it.

No, no .. it's you right-wing nuts that require inventing the alternate words. You're already dissociating and dehumanizing people whose genetics don't match your preferred characteristics by calling them mutant. A human is someone alive who is the offspring of another human, that's the definition. Regarding the need for more genders, the problem is you. The issue is that YOU have made a set of characteristics that you claim a woman has (a uterus, a vagina, no Y chromosome, big boobs, wide hips, long hair, emotional mentally, overly empathic, stuff like that) and a different set that you claim a man has (tough personality, Y chromosome, strength, no empathy, etc.) What is someone who possesses characteristics from both sets roughly equally or neither set supposed to be classified as? There are a large number of people with ambiguous genitalia and things like that. For example, there are situations by which a person who is XY chromosome can get pregnant and have a baby. In at least one case it was without even hormone treatment: Reference: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/a...
